Foreign Accents with Chromebooks

They following keyboard shortcuts work when you are using US International Keyboard. See this article to change keyboards.

Spanish

á, é, í, ó, ú quote a apostrophe plus a, e, i, o, u
(apostrophe key is just left of the enter key ‘)
ñ alt n right-alt plus n
(you must use the alt key on the right side of the keyboard)
ü shiftquote u quotation key ” plus u
shift apostrophe key plus the letter u – hold down all three keys simultaneously for capital letters
¿ altquest right-alt plus ?
(you must use the alt key on the right side of the keyboard)
¡ alt  1 right-alt plus 1
(you must use the alt key on the right side of the keyboard)

French

è, ù, à tildea tilde key plus e, u, a
tilde is left of the 1 key and looks like ~
é quotee apostrophe plus e
apostrophe key is just left of the enter key and looks like ‘

carrot key is Shift-6 and looks like ^
